As a Software Developer in Test (SDET) at Tekion, you'll play a crucial role in building a future where technology simplifies, secures, and transforms the way vehicles are bought, sold, and serviced.
In this dynamic role, you’ll develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services. Contribute to automation framework design and enhancements while integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate closely with developers during feature design and implementation to ensure robust testing practices. Perform root cause analysis for test failures and production defects, ensuring adequate coverage for new and existing features.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services
- Contribute to automation framework design and enhancements
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with developers during feature design and implementation
- Perform root cause analysis for test failures and production defects
- Ensure adequate test coverage for new and existing features
- Participate in code reviews and quality discussions
- Identify edge cases and improve overall system reliability
Skill Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript
- Understanding of OOPS concepts and basic data structures
- Experience with at least one automation tool: Selenium / Playwright / Cypress (UI) and RestAssured / PyTest / Postman (API)
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)
