Join our innovative team at Cisco, where we develop groundbreaking software for leading network operating systems like IOS-XR, IOS-XE, and NXOS. As a Software Engineer in the NeXT Platform Independent Common (PI-Common) group, you'll be at the forefront of creating high-performance software across Cisco's flagship routers and switches, including Enterprise Switching & Routers, Data Center Switches, and Service Provider Routing Platforms.

Your role will involve developing high-quality software on schedule, crafting new features while maintaining existing ones. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams in an international setting, leveraging your problem-solving skills to ensure our products meet the highest standards of excellence. With a strong foundation in internetworking technologies and applications, you'll contribute significantly to our mission of revolutionizing data and infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSEE/CS or MS/CS degree
• Demonstrated experience with internetworking technologies and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Python, multithreading, and data structures
• Understanding of operating systems and networking basics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Ansible and Terraform development
• Familiarity with Cisco OS - XR, XE or NXOS
• Background in C programming
