Description
We are excited to welcome a dynamic and skilled Software Support Engineer with SQL development experience into our team. This role is perfect for candidates who are eager to contribute to the seamless operation of our business applications in a production environment.
As a Software Support Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting critical business applications. Your expertise in analyzing and resolving production incidents, as well as optimizing SQL queries, is crucial for ensuring the stability and availability of these applications. You will also play an integral part in creating and maintaining detailed documentation to facilitate smooth operations.
Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. With your hands-on experience in production incident resolution and database performance analysis, you will be well-equipped to handle the challenges that come with supporting core business applications. Additionally, your ability to work collaboratively with our business teams and end-users is a key strength.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Incident Analysis and Resolution
- Analyze, write, test, and optimize SQL queries
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as per defined delivery processes
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate directly with business teams and end-users for a seamless support experience
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience with databases such as MS SQL/MySQL
- Understanding of query performance tuning
- BASIC experience with joins, CTEs, views, and stored procedures
- Good understanding of data types, constraints, and transactions
Experience:
- 0-1 year of hands-on experience working as an SQL Developer
- Experience in a production support role with direct collaboration with business teams and users is a plus
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
