Job Summary
pWe are seeking an Applications Engineer or Chemist to join our team. This role bridges the gap between research and development (R&D) and customer production, focusing on material selection, troubleshooting process issues, and providing technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Select appropriate plastic or rubber materials for specific applications
- Conduct and interpret material characterization tests such as tensile strength and hardness
- Troubleshoot molding, extrusion, and curing defects in production processes
- Optimize process parameters to improve performance
- Provide technical support to customers through trials and practical solutions
- Collaborate with R&D on developing new polymer compounds and improving existing formulations
- Create comprehensive technical reports and SOPs for documentation purposes
Required Skills
- Knowledge of polymers and their properties
- Experience in material testing methods
- PMP or Six Sigma certification (desired)
