Job Summary
pThis role involves performing and documenting comprehensive history & physical examinations for patients. The candidate will attend ward rounds with consulting staff, provide a 24-hour medical service, and ensure patient safety through regular updates to the medical director.pThe incumbent is expected to follow individual treatment plans, write detailed progress notes, and obtain informed consents from patients. They will also be responsible for referring patients for necessary diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services, interpreting lab results, and managing medication orders.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive history & physical examinations
- Attend ward rounds with consulting staff as required
- Provide 24-hour medical service on an on-call basis
- Inform the medical director of patient condition changes and relevant actions taken
- Follow individual treatment plans for patients
- Write daily progress notes
- Obtain and document informed consents from patients
- Referral for diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services as required
- Order appropriate investigations and interpret results
- Manage medication and other orders appropriately
- Prepare discharge summaries
