Job Summary

Join Canonical as a Partner Engineer and play a pivotal role in optimizing Ubuntu for new silicon technologies, from x86 to RISC-V architectures. Collaborate with global silicon companies to ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge hardware accelerators, AI stacks, and confidential computing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize Ubuntu for new silicon technologies
  • Foster a software ecosystem with a focus on user experience
  • Evaluate contributions from other engineers to maintain high-quality standards
  • Collaborate with teams across the Ubuntu and Debian communities, upstream projects, and commercially supported customers
  • Debug issues in open source code and team-maintained code

  • Fundamental understanding of package management and dependency resolution
