Job Summary
pWe are seeking a skilled Python backend developer to join our dynamic team at the India Technology Center, Bangalore. As part of the Payments team under Product Engineering, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-quality payment systems applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain backend applications for payment systems using Python, modern frameworks (Django/Flask/Fast API), RESTful APIs, and ORM technologies.
- Enhance and refactor existing components based on requirements from product owners and stakeholders.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies to contribute to robust and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new features, fix defects, and improve application performance.
- Translate functional requirements into well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Write clean, secure, and efficient code following software engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot application issues, debug defects, and support production incidents.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, Product, DevOps) to deliver high-quality software within timelines.
